The religion that I researched was Christianity. I wanted to research Christianity because I am a Christian. It's as simple as that, well maybe because I thought it might've been easier to build than other structures.
The Religion
Christianity is a religion that built itself off of Judaism and Roman Catholicism. Christianity focuses on Jesus as being that messiah that all three religions have been waiting for but Judaism doesn't agree. Judaism believes that the messiah isn't Jesus, and that Jesus is only a prophet of God. Prophets such as, Adam, Solomon etc. Christianity believes that Jesus is the messiah because he has fulfilled all of the Old Testament prophesies. Christianity also uses the Old and New Testaments, unlike Judaism which uses only the Old Testament. Judaism doesn't use the New Testament mainly because it's about the life of Jesus.

The Architecture
The main buildings that the religion of Christianity has are churches or cathedrals. Not only Christianity uses churches Roman Catholic uses churches and so does Judaism. In early Christian architecture, all the buildings were focused upon round, polygonal or cruciforum shape. Churches are based upon the polygonal shape, because they have four sides. In such buildings as Saint Peter's in Rome and the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem, the martyrium structure (memorial shrines) and basilica (type of church) were combined, creating a new formal mixture of great significance for the religious architecture of the medieval period.
Tools and Resources Used
In this project I used many types of tools, for example I used, hand saws, a radial arm saw, a scroll saw, hammers, nails, a glue gun, wood, plastic, and wire nets. I also used wild bird seed, that I got from my local pet store. The resources I used for this project are: encyclopedia.com, www.texasruralchurchnetwork.org, and volcanophoto.com
